Members Trade‑In Program — Terms & Conditions

By submitting a trade‑in enquiry or participating in the Members Trade‑In Program (“the Program”), I agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Eligibility

  • I confirm that I am at least 18 years of age.
  • I am a current member of the participating golf club.
  • I am the legal owner of the clubs I am submitting for trade‑in.

2. Submitting a Trade‑In Enquiry

  • All valuations begin with an online enquiry form.
  • I understand that Better Golf Clubs (BGC) will provide a quote within 24 hours based on the information and photos I supply.
  • Quotes are obligation‑free and subject to final inspection once the clubs arrive at BGC.

3. Accuracy of Information

  • I confirm that all details I provide (brand, model, condition, photos, quantities, etc.) are accurate to the best of my knowledge.
  • BGC may revise or withdraw a quote if the clubs differ materially from the information submitted.

4. Dropping Off Clubs

  • Once I accept the quote, I will drop my clubs at the participating pro shop.
  • The pro shop is acting only as a collection point and is not responsible for valuation, payment, or final approval.

5. Shipping & Handling

  • BGC arranges and pays for all shipping from the club to BGC.
  • Risk of loss or damage during transit transfers to BGC once the clubs are collected from the pro shop by the courier.
  • If clubs are lost or damaged in transit, BGC will work with the courier to resolve the issue; however, BGC is not responsible for delays caused by third‑party carriers.

6. Inspection & Final Valuation

  • All clubs undergo a physical inspection upon arrival at BGC.
  • The initial quote may be adjusted if:
    • the condition differs from the submitted information
    • the model or specifications are incorrect
    • the item has no resale value
  • If the revised valuation is lower, I may choose to:
    • accept the new valuation, or
    • have the clubs returned to the pro shop at no cost.

7. Payment of Trade‑In Value

  • Trade‑in value is not paid immediately.
  • Credit is added to my club account only after:
    1. the clubs arrive at BGC, and
    2. they pass inspection and the valuation is confirmed.
  • Credit is issued exclusively as club account credit and cannot be exchanged for cash.

8. Use of Club Credit

  • The club determines how credit can be used and any expiry dates that may apply.

9. Items Not Accepted

BGC may decline clubs that are:

  • excessively damaged
  • counterfeit
  • incomplete (e.g., missing heads or shafts)
  • unsafe or unfit for resale
  • outside current resale demand

If declined, the clubs will be returned to the pro shop at no cost.

10. Ownership & Transfer of Goods

  • Once I accept the final valuation and the credit is issued, ownership of the clubs transfers to BGC.
  • All trade‑ins are final once credit is applied.

11. Program Changes

  • BGC may update, pause, or discontinue the Program at any time.
  • Any changes will not affect trade‑ins already accepted and in progress.

12. Privacy

  • My personal information is used only for processing my trade‑in and communicating with me.
  • BGC does not sell or share personal information with third parties except where required to complete the service (e.g., courier partners).

13. Limitation of Liability

  • To the extent permitted by law, BGC is not liable for:
    • delays caused by third‑party couriers
    • loss of club credit due to club policies
    • any indirect or consequential loss
  • Nothing in these terms limits my rights under Australian Consumer Law.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a trade‑in enquiry or dropping off clubs at the pro shop, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
